Supermarket Ad Boards -- Alive and well in 2021

Supermarket Ad Boards -- Alive and well in 2021

These things were really common growing up in the States in the 70's. I'm not sure when they mostly died out there, but I hadn't seen one in years. Here in New Zealand, they are in every supermarket.

A Lesson From The Insurrection

A Lesson From The Insurrection

The people that rioted in an attempt to take over the US Capitol killed a cop. This one disgusting action revealed the "All Lives Matter" slogan to be utter bullshit.

According to too many, there is no correct way to protest against violent racism.

COVIDIOTS Ruining it for Everyone Else

COVIDIOTS Ruining it for Everyone Else

While I disagree with the last sentence, the situation floors me. I would rephrase her last sentence to "If they didn't get the severity & consequences of COVID, they never will." Plenty of us get it. Too many do not.

Just got off the phone with my Mom. 9 people in her park have tested positive since I last talked with her on the 30th. I had not heard of any prior positive cases there. The park held an indoor New Years Eve party with no masks. Of course, Mom did not attend. So many people in America are behaving like petulant toddlers -- "You can't tell me what to do!" All they are doing is extending the time it will take to get the pandemic under control and, in the meantime, helping to kill some of their friends and family.

I just want my Mom to be able to come visit us here in Aotearoa again. That won't be possible until this pandemic is under control and only if she is still alive.

Fuck these selfish assholes.
